Jewish life and culture are important components of our society, both nationally and locally. In order to make it possible to experience their significance directly "on site", students of the University of Bayreuth will develop multimedia content in the course of the 2021 summer semester, which will be made available as an "app".

This will make it possible to discover various aspects of Jewish culture in Bayreuth through virtually guided tours of the City. In addition to 360-degree recordings and films that invite you to visit otherwise closed places, short audio plays will be created that, similar to an audio guide in a museum, will take you on fascinating journeys into the past.. 

Virtual Stolpersteine (stumbling blocks) commemorating Jewish personalities from Bayreuth are also planned. While experiencing local Jewish history, students will not only engage with the historical content, but also with media-didactic preparation.
